Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. issued a statement this weekend saying that the company was placing a technical hold on all 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R sport bikes because of an undisclosed problem found to exist with the current design. Sounds like Kawasaki just needs to reboot the motorcycle to get things back on track. This motorcycle has been a long in the making and technical problems are bound to occur.
A major problem with this announcement is that this basically recalls the 2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R line up. Most hope that the technical hold will not last to long. A long delay in removing the technical hold could only hurt sales in the future and tarnish the reputation of promising new motorcycle. Kawasaki seems to be pretty tight lipped at this time and is not handing out a great amount of detail. Hang on and wait and see is all we can we do at this time.
The 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R has a new 998cc liquid cooled four cylinder engine featuring double overhead cams and 4-valves per cylinder producing 190+ horsepower. The motorcycle also includes and new innovative traction control system dubbed S-KTRC, Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control.
