If you were around in the 1980s, you may remember the first Tron movie. If you weren’t around in the decade of hair bands and skinny ties, you can catch the latest installment of the story later this month.
One of the coolest things about the first Tron movie was the video-game-like motorcycle chases and stunts. It looks like the new film, Tron: Legacy, will take the motorcycle thrill-ride to a new level.
The new Tron Light Cycle will be featured prominently in the upcoming film, and now it can be featured prominently between your legs! Parker Brothers Choppers, a Florida-based custom bike shop, will build you one that looks just like the one in the movie. The steel frame and futuristic fiberglass bodywork will cradle one of my all-time favorite engines – the V-twin from a Suzuki TLR1000. The 100 inch long, 474 pound bike will have a ride height of 28.5 inches. The riding position looks to be an extreme forward layout similar to a pro-class drag-bike.
The Tron Light Cycle will be fully street legal. So what will it cost you to “Tron” around your hometown streets? Parker Brothers Choppers says the price will be around the $55,000 mark. *Photo Credit-Michael Lichter*
