Reader Question: What is America’s Best Motorcycle Road? Hot

In recent articles, we have given our readers glimpses of several great motorcycle roads.  In the “Great Roads” series, we have looked at The Pacific Coast Highway and a great military reservation road in California.  We have taken virtual rides on Colorado’s “Million Dollar Highway” and New Mexico’s beautiful Highway 64. We even took a pictorial tour through the Sedona Arizona’s famous red rocks on Highway 89.

Now we need to start planning future Great Roads articles. However, we need your help.  We are looking for the very best rides in your neck of the woods.  What we want you to do is respond either on the form at the bottom of this article, or on our Facebook page.  Give us the state, the road, and why that road is so great.

Here are some of the things that make a great motorcycle road:
1. Curves, curves, and more curves
2. Smooth and predictable blacktop
3. Great scenery
4. A few great stops along the way (food, attractions, etc.)
5. Relatively light traffic (we know…sometimes hard to find)

So there’s your task.  Help us find America’s best motorcycle road and we’ll do our best to ride, photograph, and report on it.  And, of course, you’ll be given credit for helping us find it!
