Obama-Signed Custom Chopper Heads to Auction Hot

The Barrett-Jackson Auction Company recentley put a custom designed chopper onBarrett-Jackson Auctions logo the block with a special accessory – President Barack Obama’s autograph. It will also have the signatures of Vice-President Joe Biden and National Security Advisor James Jones.

The custom itself was produced by Hardcore Choppers of Sterling, VA. They have called it the United States Army Chopper, and it is styled to bring to mind the European race cars from the 1950’s era. The V-twin engine is said to produce over 150hp and runs with a six-speed transmission. It was Mr. Jones’ son, Jim Jones, who donated the bike to the auction.

All proceeds from the sale will go to the Fisher House Foundation; Barrett-Jackson has even waived the standard transaction fee, as they often do for such auctions. The foundation works much like the Ronald McDonald House, except for veterans and their families. Fisher House constructs houses all over the nation and then gives them to the federal government for use by military families who have a member of their family being treated at a military or Veteran’s Administration hospital. Currently, there are 49 such houses operating at bases and VA hospitals around the US.
