Ever since Harley-Davidson sales tanked a while back, they’ve been quick to recreate a marketing plan to help boast their image as the American Motorcycle Manufacturer. Their latest plan was to attract a wider range of bikers with easy handling, comfort, and unique designs. So far, 2011 should be good to Harley since they plan to release three new models.
The first model, XR1200X, has high horsepower and sharp handling perfect for sport riders that are used to a more European style ride. The bike has a specially tuned version of the 1200cc Evolution engine with adjustable suspension features, and floating front brake rotors, designed with the look of Harley’s dirt-track racers.
The second model, The Road Glide Ultra, is perfect for cross-country rides with its luggage carrier, anti-lock brakes, cruise control, Harley Smart Security System, and an 80-watt stereo system. The next SuperLow design offers new wheels, reshaped handlebars and seat for easy handling.
