I’m sure you’re all familiar with Discovery Channel’s tight-nit family crew the Pelletier’s from American Loggers, but I bet you didn’t know they have a soft spot for motorcycle rallies.
Millinocket, Maine, hometown to the Pelletier family, played host to the H.O.G. Rally last year, and brought double the amount of attendees from the 2008 rally. Since the town pulled in over 1,000 attendees they have high hopes of being asked to host the 2011 H.O.G Rally, but before that Maine wants to practice their motorcycle rally skills this summer.
The Pelletier’s were overwhelmed by the success of last year’s rally that they decided to bring the bikers back for another visit to the mountains. The family plans to open their Pelletier Loggers Family Restaurant and close one end of Penobscot Avenue so bikers can have full range to ride further north and west through the Katahdin region. The family is looking to bring more attention to the beauty of the town by bringing every kind of bike out for the weekend rally.
So if your in or around Millinocket this weekend starting Friday at 4, then go enjoy some good food, motorcycles, live music, and oh yeah the popular Pelletier family.
