Yamaha, on of the top four motorcycle manufacturers in the world, is suffering due to lack of sales. And it’s not just Yamaha that’s feeling the affects of a diminishing market. Harley Davidson reportedly took a hit to their sales when the quarter ended in June. With the worst hit in three months, sales fell 4.9 percent. Plans are in the works to develop the same quality bikes but at a lower price in an effort to boost sales. One project, being released in September that will hopefully create buzz around Yamaha is their new EC-03 electric scooter. Until then, the company will make a 60 billion yen cutback in effect from now till December 2012.
