Harley Davidson Names Two New Executives Hot

hd_julyBack in April, AllAboutBike’s very own Rodders called-out Harley Davidson's poorly run corporate board after making an appearance on an MSN list. After a difficult 2009, it was obvious that H-D was going to make some changes. Bringing in some fresh faces in the legal and treasury department seems like a good place to start.

H-D recently announced the hiring of two executives to help expand their business model. Paul J. Jones, former employee of Regal Beloit Corporation, will act as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. The hiring of Jones makes sense since he is familiar with H-D through his work with the law firm of Foley & Lardner, LLP. Jones will take his post at H-D at the end of July.

J. Darrell Thomas started in June as the Vice President, Treasurer reporting directly to John Olin, H-D Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He brings a background as Vice President and Assistant Treasurer from PepsiCo.

Not to say that this is going to be the ultimate fix-it for Harley, but it’s definitely a start.
