AAB's Inaugural Sunday Motorcycle Mixer Hot

trophyThe thunderstorms held off just long enough on June 27 for the inaugural AllAboutBikes Magazine Motorcycle Mixer. Bikers from around the area joined in a four hour ride to the Sewickley Hotel in downtown Sewickley. After the ride, everyone enjoyed drinks, live music, and a best bike contes.

The first prize trophy was awarded to Lynn Possage, owner of a 2004 Honda Rune.

This bike was picked in a unanimous vote. Why do you ask? Well, try a six-cylinder engine encased in a body that is almost warlord like. Second prize went to Greg Richert, who piloted a red and black 2008 Honda CBR 1000. He's had the bike for less than a year, but has spent a lot of time in the shop making er' pretty.

HID headlights, rear spool sliders, 10” wind screen, undertail kit, 2 way alarm, 905 race rails, and a new exhaust round out the shopping list of add-ons. Third prize went to a 2004 Aprilia RSV 1000R. B.J. Sueterlitsch bought the bike used in January, and said the best part of the Aprilia is, duh...the power. Well said, my friend.

AllAboutBikes Magazine's President/CEO, Julian Taylor said, “One of the best things about motorcycles is the people that ride them. I want to thank everyone that came to the inaugural Motorcycle Mixer, and congratulate the three winners of the competition. Also, thank you to Jimmy C. and Mark Kerr for judging.”

The staff at AllAboutBikes Magazine looks forward to seeing everyone again in two weeks on July 11th…same bat time, same bat channel.
