This is One Way to Get Your Dog to the Vet Hot

Dog_on_MotorcycleInitially, we were going to have this photo go along with this post (because it's what it's about and whatnot), but the image got all wonky and wouldn't load. Still, this one works just as well. If you haven't already clicked the link, it goes to a photo of some a-hole driving down the highway on his motorcycle with a full-grown yellow lab on his lap.

Still, it got us thinking. We've certainly been in positions where we've loaded things onto our bikes that we shouldn't have (a palm tree from Home Depot comes to mind, for example), and we're willing to bet that some of you have tested the limits of physics while carting around weird stuff on your bikes, too.So, let's have it! Tell us some of the craziest things you've carried on a bike before. Don't worry, we wo n't judge you for it!

Back when i was younger we all got a pizza craving attack. No one wanted to drive and I only had my bike.

Needless to say, I ended up picking up 5 pizzas and riding them back to the dorm. It was quite a balancing act!

When its time to change my tires i ride my bike to the shop. Buy the tire then put it around my waste. I then ride with the tire like a hula hoop over to my friends house so we can put the tire on.

How much beer can you fit inside your jacket?

I found a ceiling fan on sale and they would not hold it for me so I went to the auto department and got some bungee cords and off I went! and as for beer in my coat... I got 3 cases of beer in cans with ice in my saddle bags one time because I was the sober one!

When I moved into my first apartment I got the bright idea to live japanese-style and sleep on a futon that I could roll away for extra space. While it worked, it was uncomfortable and a bit small, so I looked at my options. After several days of searching I found a really nice free bed frame on craigslist. I emailed the guy, hopped in my car, and lo and behold it wouldn't start. I sat there for a second, then looked over at my zx-6 and thought. So I got suited up, stuffed my jacket with materials, hopped on my bike, and drove over to the guy's house. I arrived about 25 minutes later and as he walked out of his house and saw me standing there next to my moving van he stopped dead, shrugged, shook his head, and opened his garage. He brought the frame over to my bike and I dropped my maze of ropes and cables on his driveway. I was a man on a mission. I strapped the headboard and foot board to my bike, but when it came to putting the side boards on I had two options: First, to mount them sideways and risk taking myself out on a turn. Second, to mount them lengthwise and worry about the far end swinging back and forth. I opted for option number three and strapped those suckers to my back. As I did this I could have sworn the guy pulled out his phone to snap a picture of me, and as I sat there on my bike like the bed frame ninja he gave me a look that said "are you serious?" I looked at him, flipped open my visor, and said "oh yeah, this is happening." I made it home just fine, and although I got more than a few stares on my ride home, it got the job done. And hey, now I know that in a pinch, my motorcycle is a viable option.

When I lived in Florida all I had was my bike so every week I made a trip to the grocery on it. I carried 100 dollars worth of groceries in 6 bags strapped to my back and left wrist for 20 miles. Did I mention 4 2 liters a week?
