If you left $71,200 worth of marijuana strapped to your motorcycle, Texas officials would like to have a word with you. Sound ridiculous? That's exactly what somebody did last week in La Grulla, Texas.
On Sunday, Border Patrol agents trolling near the Rio Grande River spotted a motorcycle on the side of the road. Upon further inspection, they noticed eight bundles of marijuana had been tied to the seat -- weighing in at a total of 81 pounds.
Officials aren't sure why the motorcycle and load of illegal drugs were abandoned, but I think we can all venture a few educated guesses as to why. The drugs were eventually turned over the the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), and police are still searching for a suspect. Have any information about the owner of the bike? Call 1-800-863-9382.
