Apparently, Harley-Davidson Doesn't Teach Employees How to Ride Hot

harley-emp-riderA 57-year-old female Harley-Davidson employee crashed a brand new Harley last week when she was test driving the bike in the company's parking lot. The crash happened as she was practicing her maneuvering skills (which, obviously, still need a little more work). According to the police report, she noticed the throttle was sticking, so she turned it harder, causing the bike to lurch forward...into a chain link fence.

The employee, whose name wasn't released, was taken to a local hospital and checked for facial injuries and released. The bike, on the other hand, had severe front-end damage.

No word on whether or not Harley plans on enforcing the time-honored "you break it, you bought it" rule.

The author of this piece is an idiot. Why is this newsworthy and why is the title relevant? I work for a surgeon's office but I don't operate on patients. Do you expect Boeing to train all its employees how to fly? Is it in the news when a Toyota worker crashes her Camry? People, even Harley employees believe it or not, drop motorcycles all the time. New models are no diffent. 57 year old females should be commended for trying to ride thier product, not chastised. Again, I reiterate, you are an idiot.
