Ducati the Only Bike Company Allowed at Beijing Motor Show Hot

Ducati_BeijingDucati is the only motorcycle company that has been given space at the 2010 Beijing Motor Show, which is being held this week. Although the show primarily features four-wheeled vehicles, the Chinese government decided to give Ducati space to show their line to the public (largely in part due to Ducati's interest in breaking into the Chinese market).

Ever since Ducati opened its first store in Shanghai, the company has been working diligently to build and grow a sales network in China. Having an exclusive motorcycle presence at the Beijing Motor Show was another step in the right direction for the Ducati team.

The motor show, hailed as Asia's #1 automotive event, draws an estimated 700,000 visitors each year. To fully take advantage of the space available, Ducati showed their entire 2010 line, including the Monster 696, Streetfighter, Hypermotard 796 and the Multistrada 1200.

So far, the event has been pretty successful for Ducati. The company has received quite a bit of interest (at least, according to their press release), and one wealthy Chinese bike fan snapped up three of the bikes right off of the showroom floor.
