Ever wish you could make the Guinness Book of World Records? Now's your chance, because the Red Knights Motorcycle Club, a group of bikers connected to fire departments across the U.S. and Canada, is (hopefully) staging a record-setting poker run on May 1st.
The poker run starts out in Milford, but is being coordinated nationally by a Florida club branch and more than 250 other groups are participating. Registration for the event is $10, with all proceeds giong to the Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
Interested in joining the Red Knights? Membership is open to all active and retired firefighters, volunteer or industrial, who have a valid motorcycle license and access to a bike. Many of the riders who have already signed up are riding for Christoper Ernest "Ernie" Harling, an 81-year-old avid motorcyclist who died last week.
