30 Alleged Motorcycle Gang Members Arrested in Sweep Hot

vagos400 police officers gather in a multi-jurisdictional task force nicknamed, "Operation Everywhere", to take down 30 members of the Vagos motorcycle club, also known as the Green Nation, in Riverside County, California. The task force served warrants relating to the investigation to over 73 different locations seizing what the police consider illegal weapons and drugs.

The Riverside County District Attorney Rod Pacheco stated, "the gang represented an extreme threat to law enforcement. The goal of these arrests and investigation were to eliminate that threat." Since this is an active and ongoing investigation, there really wasn't many details given about who and where these gang members were arrested. One related detail of the case was a methamphetamine lab was discovered at one of the homes of a Vagos gang member in Lake Elsinore.

The Vagos Motorcycle Club is estimated to have at least 600 members in the Western part of the United States. When it comes to motorcycle gangs it's always a challenge to get an exact number of members. It's not like there's a facebook page with all members involved on a roster. Once again it's estimated that at least three hundred of those six hundred members reside in California. Two hundred of those six hundred members would be found in Riverside County, CA. The remaining members could be found throughout the rest of California. Vagos is considered to be one of the largest motorcycle gangs in California.

A quick history of the Vagos organization shows at one time they were referred to as the Psychos in the early 1960's. The area they covered was between the Temescal Canyon area between Lake Elsinore and Corona, California

Vagos Motorcycle Club responded by saying:

I guess it must be election time, as Rod Pacheco has dragged out the same tired litany of non-charges that they throw out every few years. This Pacheco is just trying to shore up his election chances and he sees this as a way to do it. After all, who, running for office against PACHECO, is going to stand up and be on the Vagos side?
