Mines and Measdows Side-by-Side/UTV/ATV Rally is a huge gathering for all types of dirt loving enthusiast and their machines. With the weather expected to be sunny, clear, and in the 80's, a huge turn out is expected. Warn Industries has supplied us with remote controlled, front bumper mounted winches, which are rated around 3,500 lbs. ITP provided SS wheels to rip up the PA mud and dirt. Muzzy Exhaust sent us a full system exhaust, along with a Digi-Tuner to keep things tuned right. With the K&N Air Filter, you can definitely feel the difference in power, and throttle response with this unit.
SSV Works provided us with a roll cage mounted stereo system, which includes 4 speakers, and an optional plug in for an external amplifier. With this sound system, you can plug your phone or iPod directly into the unit, and have sounds while your tearing up the trails. Diamondback Covers supplied us with an easy to mount roof for the RZR XP 900. This roof took less than 15 minutes to install, and is great for keeping the elements from getting to you.
Mines and Meadows
Mines and Meadows is a UTV/ATV park located in Western Pennsylvania in Wampum, Pennsylvania. Located just 45 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mines and Meadows has over 600 acres of riding, and 70 miles of trails. These trails offer everything from beginner, to those with experience/advanced riders looking for a little more heart pumping action.
The Mines
If the trails do not get your heart pumping, maybe a few thousand tons of dirt and rock above your head will. The abandoned limestone mines on the property allow the rider the unique opportunity that no other ATV/UTV resort offer. Mine and Meadows offer guided tours through these mines to give the enthusiast a unique experience of riding underground. There are no lights in the limestone mines, so you will need all the light you can get from your ATV/UTV.
The mines are all guided tours, so rest assure, the folks at Mines and Meadows have your safety in mind at all times. No one is allowed for any reason to tour the limestone caves by themselves. Their experienced staff is more than happy to offer you a unique, and safe experience. Also, dress appropriately.
Helmets and proper safety equipment are required before entering the mines. Although the mines keep a consistent temperature of around 55 degrees year round, additional clothing is recommended for the mines portion of the resort.
Remember, at the entrance of the mines, your vehicle must be no wider than 63 inches. So, you folks with the Polaris Ranger RZR XP 900, you won't be able to fit that machine in the mines. However, there is plenty of above ground activities for that amazing machine.
