In just a few days, the 70th Annual Daytona Bike week will begin. Motorcyclists will be traveling from all over the country to attend Daytona this year, where they will see some great racing, some classic motorcycle shows, and some great music. Here are some of the must see activities at Daytona Bike week this year.
Bike Shows
You'll be able to see plenty of amazing motorcycles just strolling down the streets during Daytona Bike Week, but make sure to check out events like the Old Timer Bike Show if you really want to see some cool motorcycles.
The Progressive Insurance Bike Show will have an awesome display of bikes all week long. Smokehouse Saloon will also be holding the old timers bike show on March 4th, (as well free barbecue on Sunday.) and Fastlane Promotions will be hosting a pan head bike show, an antique bike show, a British/European bike show, an old school chopper show, and a rat bike show. Fastlanes will also be hosting the 7th annual motorcycle swap meet at Daytona.
Motorcycle Demos
What's the point of going to Daytona if you aren't going to ride. Daytona Bike week will see huge booths set up by some of the biggest manufacturers in the country. Harley, Honda, Triumph, Ducati, and many others will be showing off their bikes at Daytona. So if you don't have the money to buy Harley's new Black Line, make sure to take one for a spin while you can.
Stunt Show
The XDL Sportbike Freestyle Championship will kick off its 2011 season at Daytona this year. The XDL sees some of the best stunt riders in the country go head to head in a 6 event series.
The XDL will also have their first annual freeride festival at Daytona. Amateurs will get a chance to talk to the pros about stunting tips, check out some of the cool machines, and hang out for some partying and music.
Music
If you want to see music at Daytona, hang around the legendary Broken Spoke Saloon. The Broken Spoke will have the Farrell Webber Band, Joe Santana, the 357 String Band, Drivin' Blind, and Lucas Hoge performing throughout the week. The Broken Spoke will also have tribute bands performing Eagles, Led Zeppelin, the Doobie Brothers, and Aerosmith songs.

The fourth annual MDA Women's Ride, the mystery alligator road tour, and the Blue Knights ride and BBQ are just a few of the other rides that you can go on at Daytona.
Food and Beer
The Daytona Chamber of Commerce has more than 100 bars and restaurants listed on their website. From dive bars, to biker bars, to fine dining, to fast food. Daytona Bike week has just about anything that you could want.
The Ponce de Leon Lighthouse, Hog Haven, and the Iron Horse are great places to grab a bite to eat. But don't forget about all the free food at the different fests, rides, and events at Daytona.
Racing
Daytona Bike Week is the start of the racing season. The AMA Pro Racing series will kick off with the Superbike, Daytona Sportbike, and Supersport at the Daytona 200. The Harley Davidson XR1200 series will also begin at Daytona.
If you're more of a dirt bike rider, you'll be able to check out the ninth round of the AMA Supercross series at the Daytona International Speedway.
Ride the Loop
Need to get a break from the action? Take a ride around the loop. The loop brings you along the Halifax river, through the Bullow Creek State Park, and within reach of the Atlantic Ocean.
There are plenty of places to stop, and you're sure to be riding next to other Daytona enthusiasts. The 22 mile loop provides a nice breather to all the Daytona action.
