Riding Into History

Before the weather gets to hot down south, you can head to St Augustine, Florida for the Riding Into History bike rally. Famous author and motorcyclist Clement Salvadori will be joining the event (and doing a meet n’ greet) for its eleventh year as the Grand Marshall. On Saturday, May 15th you have the opportunity to partake in three different events all rolled into one.

ridingintohistoryFirst there is the charity ride. The cost is $15 and includes the ride as well as admission to Concurs (another event) and premium parking at World Golf Village (where the ride ends). This ride will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project which helps raise awareness of the needs of our injured soldiers when they return home. The ride kicks off at 10am. The next event for the day is the Concours d’Elegance which runs from 10am to 4pm and will be showcasing The Great Motorcycles of Great Britain. There will also be food, merchandise, exhibitions and free seminars by motorcycle designer Craig Vetter.

Finally, the day comes to an end with the Biker Ball. Dress up in your favorite semi-black tie digs and dance the night away in the British themed setting at the “London’s Ace Café”. There will also be a silent auction to raise additional proceeds for the Wounded Warrior Project.
