For some serious down home fun I cannot think of a better place than Laurel, Montana. Take a weekend drive from June 3rd to 6th for the third annual River Fest Montana. This year’s big sponsor is Fat Fender Freddy’s – your all in one bar – nightclub – casino – talent center. Basically, you can see the talent that may next be embracing the airwaves while dancing the night away after you win a few dollars on the slot machines with and ice cold drink in your hand. What could be better? Well, the event itself actually.
River Fest Montana will offer hot ride and bikes over the thirty acres that surrounds Fat Fender Freddy’s. Vocal Search America will be offering live entertainment from those talented people they have found in karaoke competitions around the country. There will be a poker run with prizes, biker games and kids games. The National Karaoke Championship will also be hosted during the event. There will be over three hundred vendors offering up the latest and greatest merchandise to the nearly 20,000 spectators the event brings in.
If you need a place to stay for the few days there is Clarks Riverfront Campground, Riverside Park and Pelican RV Campground all located in Laurel. Each one is nearby water for fishing and offers plenty of hiking trails.
