Chocolate lovers rejoice! Two of the best things in life – motorcycles and chocolate – are teaming up on May 1st to raise money for non-profit youth organizations. The Chocolate Thunder Motorcycle Poker Run is the kick off to the Paradise Chocolate Fest that will be held all week in Paradise, California. The ride will start at the Paradise/Magalia Ridge which is located at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Along the way through the scenic range riders will stop in Butte County and Lake Oroville’s Lime Saddle Marina before parading through Paradise and ending the run at Calvary Chapel in Magalia.
The event will cost $15 for individual riders and $25 for couples. At the end of the run prizes will be awarded to the winners of the highest ($250 prize) and lowest ($150 prize) hands. The event admission cost will include an event pin, live entertainment, refreshments along the poker run and of course lots of chocolate as well as the barbeque. There is plenty of camping and hotels nearby this event as well as several favorite local pubs including King’s Tavern and Barney O’Rourkes.
