I am a professional amateur photographer. When our staff photographers can't make it out to a race, the buck stops on me to do the shooting. So with my dusty film degree, unreliable knowledge, and my 7-year-old camera, I do my best to get some shots of the world's fastest races.

We’ve got a number of racers on staff here at AAB who can tell you all about the stuff that takes place on the winding tarmac. I’m not one of them. I am just a guy who loves motorcycles and has been going to races for a couple of decades.

We ran across a list of track tips attributed to Kevin Schwantz to make your first track day better. We trimmed down the list and will be looking at a few of the items in detail. We are focusing on tips for setting up for a turn and getting through the turn. The list of tips from Kevin Schwantz:

There’s something equally scary and intriguing about a motorcycle propelling 50 feet into the air inside an arena.

And after looking at the thousands in attendance, this feeling seemed equally spread across the spectators in the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. last weekend.

Talk about a stunt show…Gravity Slashers brought some intense freestyle motocross to the arena, along with some extra styles of riding; each rider putt on their best possible performance due to the show being the penultimate round of 26 nights of competition.
