Tonight, all hell is going to break loose. The Sons of Anarchy will end season four with a two part finale. Now that Clay is dead (he's probably not dead) SOA is set up for a fantastic final two episodes.
The last few episodes have all been building toward one moment. Clay's death. Clay's increasingly violent ways (the mistakes he's made with the club, the hit he put out on Tera, Piney's death...) have led to just one conclusion. Someone is going to kill Clay.
Opie got his shot on "Burnt and Purged Away." Opie avenged his father's death with two bullets to Clay's chest.
In case you missed it, here's the scene where Opie shoots Clay.
Is he dead? Would Kurt Sutter really kill off the leader of the Sons of Anarchy in a brief clip right at the end of the episode? I'm thinking that Clay pulled a Doc Brown and was wearing a bullet proof vest.
With Clay alive or dead, the ripple effect from those two bullets is going to be huge. Which way will the club go? Will the Sons of Anarchy survive without its leader?
But the Clay dilemma is hardly the only thing plaguing the Sons at the moment. The cartel, the Irish Kings, or the cops could off a few more members of SOA tonight.
Here's a recap of "Burnt and Purged Away."
