Riding in West Virginia Hot

West Virginia  River Gorge This summer is the perfect time to take a ride through scenic West Virginia. While being home to a multitude of great attractions, even better scenery and more Civil War history that one person can fathom; it also offers some of the best roads for motorcycling. No matter where you travel in West Virginia you are bound to find roads that are tight and twisty and changing elevations while traveling through rugged mountain terrain.

Swest   Virginia Along the way, you will find a multitude of biker-friendly bars and restaurants that serve up quality cuisine and ice cold drinks with a touch of southern hospitality. Hooligans Pub in Bluefield features $0.25 wings every Tuesday with their outdoor live entertainment and grilling station. If you make it to Berkeley Springs you will want to check out Jim McCoy's Troubadour Lounge to down a cold one while admiring memorabilia from the singers past. For the coldest beer in the town of Martinsburg as well as darts, pool and motorcycle only parking; step into Nan & Pop's Place, The Rock or Limerick Irish Pub.

Biker West Virginia With nearly 50 parks and campgrounds scattered around this small state you are sure to find the perfect place to set up camp for the night. Many places offer hiking and horseback riding trails as well as fishing and swimming through their breathtaking woodlands. If you are lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of a bobcat, black bear or other wildlife that make West Virginia its home. West Virginia    Falls With so many choices for lodging you can enjoy peace and quiet at more natural campgrounds such as New River Park in Beckley or Battle Run Campground in Summersville. Alternatively, if you prefer a place with more amenities, activities and possibly an on sight restaurant then a place such as ACE Adventure Resort in Oak Hill or Fair Haven Ranch in Norfolk may be more your speed.

Finally, as you take on some of the four dozen different biking tours that cover West Virginia you will find a multitude of attractions. From the many waterfalls that exist at nearly a dozen of the state parks to the river valley trails near the Bluestone River, you will find more rugged terrain and scenic vistas than should be allowed in one small state. To top off the excitement, this summer West Virginia will host nearly a dozen different motorcycle rallies in the state. Riding for charity while enjoying the live entertainment, demonstrations and many vendors at the Timberline Motorcycle Rally in Davis or Megans Angles Poker Run in Terra Alta is the perfect way to make the most out of your West Virginia trip.
