Motorcycle road racing has a long and distinguished history over the years from the early 1940's to the present day speed kings. Step back a few years and relive some of the earlier days of road racing featuring Fast Freddie Spencer.
There is a three part series on youtube.com that provides some great history of the sport through the mid eighties. The first part of the video series has the racing legend Freddie Spencer riding his 1984 Honda 2 stroke 500cc road racer in a very unique challenge.
The second video in this three part series includes 2 stroke engine technology, tire technology and how the size of tires has changed over the years. Part three rounds up the series with some insight on riding techniques and motorcycle setup. Freddie provides commentary throughout the video series on his race winning motorcycle and riding style. The series provides an interesting look back at the roots of motorcycle road racing up to the mid 1980's.
