In addition to AMA Road Racing, the Big M Weekend at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, was also host to Round 6 of the World Superbike FIM World Championship. This was the series’ only race in the United States and it gave stateside fans the opportunity to see the prestigious event first hand.
Carlos Checa won the first race of the day, but wasn’t able to repeat his 1-1 performance from last year. Instead, the second race went to Marcos Melandri who picked up his second win of the season.
The final day of the Big M Weekend at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah was packed with world-class racing. In the AMA SuperBike class, Josh Hayes let spectators know why he’s the two-time defending champ by taking home his fourth win of the season. Meanwhile, in the XR1200 class, Tyler O’Hara added another win to his 2012 record.
The BigM Weekend at the Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah celebrates Memorial Day with a mix of motorcycles, music, and military. Among the first races to take place on Sunday were the AMA SuperSport and Daytona SportBike classes.
