Kawasaki USA is recalling 13,289 model year 2008-2012 Concours 14 (ZG1400 A/B/C/D) motorcycles. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recall was issued due to a gap between the brake pedal and guard. Small stones or debris may become lodged in the gap, creating a brake drag. Such an occurrence may cause the rear brake to overheat, leading to rear brake damage and lock-up failure.
Zero Motorcycles, Inc. has announced that it is recalling multiple 2011 and 2012 motorcycles due to brake lever troubles. Vehicles included in the recall may suffer from a malfunctioning brake light switch, which may not activate until considerable brake level travel takes places.
Ducati North America has just announced that it is recalling 375 model-year 2012 1199 Panigale superbikes due to rear suspension concerns. Apparently, certain 1199 models contain a defective screw, which is used for retaining the swingarm to the rear suspension linkage.
