Canaan Valley Tour

The Canaan region of West Virginia is considered an outdoorsman’s paradise. There is more lush mountain scenery and wildlife sightings in this 151 mile tour than any other section of the state. Start out by visiting the waterfalls at Blackwater Falls State Park. Next, explore the scenic vistas available at Dolly Sods Wilderness Area. Enjoy the changing elevations and winding roads as you next head to the Canaan Valley State Park. Here you will find plenty of fishing, hunting and of course, camping.

Hop on The Potomac Eagle Scenic Trail for a ride through parts of the mountains that are untouched by conventional roads. Take a tour of Nancy Hanks’ (mother to Abraham Lincoln) birthplace or take in more scenery in the peace and quiet at Mount Storm Lake.
