The Louisiana state House of Representatives has now passed a bill that makes it legal for motorcyclists to ride their bikes without helmets, as long as they have at least $100,000 in insurance. For the record, that means ALL adult motorcyclists, not just those 21 or over. Is it even legal for people under the age of 18 to ride?
Anyway, the vote came down 64-33 yesterday. Unlike some of the other states we've been following (side eye to Missouri), the governor of LA, Bobby Jindal, has already decided whether to veto or not: he says he's a supporter of the measure, so it's pretty much definitely going to be written into law.
