The Z1R Nomad Rival is a stylish and safe alternative to the gimmicky novelty helmets so often seen in the cruiser scene. If you live in a state that requires helmets, or better yet, if you've made the decision to make a helmet part of your riding lifestyle, the Nomad gives you a good half-helmet option.

The Z1R Nomad is DOT approved (so you can throw away that fake DOT sticker you bought on eBay). It is also designed to sit lower on the head for a better look and better protective coverage. The Nomad incorporates even more coverage with a removable neck curtain that also includes room for communication devices.

Unlike a lot of other half-helmets, the Nomad features an adjustable forehead vent. The interior is well designed and comfortable. It includes a Nylex liner.

There are several Nomad styles, but the Rival model may be the visually unique. It features a subtle visor and a quilted, synthetic leather outer liner. The look is clean and very cruiser appropriate.

The Nomad is available in 7 sizes from 2X-Small to 2X-Large. Competition Accessories has the Z1R Nomad Rival at a competitive price of $110, and they offer free shipping to boot.

Give the Nomad Rival a look, and ditch that unsafe novelty helmet.

Staying safe but enjoying the elements

The helmet was comfortable, and I still had the wind in my face while riding in States that I had to have a helmet in. The strap just sat comfortably under my chin and I really couldn't feel it was on my head. Cheap too at $110.00 for faster speeds I did need some goggles.
