Woman's REV'IT Ignition Jacket Review Hot

Rev'It Ignition Jacket

REV'IT Ignition Jacket ReviewThank you to both AllAboutBikes & Rev'It for putting on the REV'IT jacket contest!  I received the Rev'It Ignition jacket that I won last month & I have to admit, I was blown away!  In the past, I've always had to rely on mens jackets because, being 5'9", I have long arms & there really aren't too many women's products to choose from out there that fit well.  After giving Aron from Rev'It two measurements he sent out the all black version for me.  I received it two days later.  When I pulled it out of the box, I could tell the difference in quality right away!  It was a sturdy jacket, mostly leather with a textile material in some places.

REV'IT Ignition Jacket ReviewAs soon as I put it on I knew that I wouldn't have to bundle-up as much as usual on chilly mornings or evenings.  My old jacket required at least a thermal shirt & a hoodie with a scarf for my neck as the wind would blow right down the front of my neck!  The Rev'It Ignition jacket has three seperate layers. The first is a vest-type of insulation which snaps in. It also has a padded cellphone pocket as well as three other zippered pockets on the other side.  The second layer is like a very lightweight jacket-type lining which snaps into the outer shell.  It also snaps into the cuff area & is elasticized to again, keep out the wind.  It is also very useful with plenty of pockets to store small items.

The best part of this jacket is the many layers that cover the front zip area.  This will surely keep out the wind on a chilly ride.  The neck has a collar with two snaps to make sure the fit is right for your size.  The only thing I will be curious about is hot-weather riding.  The jacket may be fine since it does have textile areas as well as a zippered opening that when un-zipped lets air flow through the mesh pockets.  There is also a zipper along the back of the outer shell to attach riding pants.

I can't wait until riding season to try it out. I'm sure it will not disappoint!  Overall, I am extremely happy with my new Rev'It Ignition jacket.  The old addage that "you get what you pay for" holds true here!  This is one quality jacket!
