Summersville Lake, West VirginiaIf you are seeking a cool place to get off the road from riding...Summersville Lake is the spot! The lake offers recreational opportunities that include fishing, boating, jet skiing, water skiing, SCUBA diving, and just relaxing at the beach. The area has a number of cabin rentals and campgrounds available year-round to cozy into and relax in.

The lake's shoreline spans 60-miles and provides breathtaking views of terrain – everything from rocking cliffs to rolling hill tops. Fishing, boating, and yes, scuba diving are unquestionably among the top reasons visitors flock here.

The lakes amazing clear, deep blue waters provide a serine escape for great small mouth and large mouth bass fishing, as well as crappie, bluegill, walleye, and trout. Night fishing is even allowed!

If you'd rather bob on the water, the lake consists of 2790 acres perfect for exploring. There is no horsepower limit! There is a $3.00 Day Use fee for boat launching.

Interested in what's in the water? Interestingly enough, Skin Diver Magazine refers to Summersville Lake as "The little Bahamas of the East"! Several scuba shops and outfitters exist in the area and are happy to provide charter trips.
