Morgantown by Steve Morris
Morgantown - I have been all over the state except for some sections in Southern West Virginia -- looking forward to checking that out in the near future. West Virginia supposedly has more roads/mileage per person than any state in the union. We also have the highest average elevation east of the Mississippi, and lots of twisty country roads. I have had the privilege of riding some great roads that would put a grin on anyone’s face. So many favorites: W.Va. 72 from Kingwood to the end past Henderson; W.Va. 16 from U.S. 50 to the Virginia line; W.Va. 7 from New Martinsville to Kingwood; U.S. 50 from Grafton to Romney; U.S. 60 (Midland Trail) from Gauley Bridge to Lewisburg; and lots more. Stemple Ridge Road off U.S. 50 at Aurora has some of the best views in the state: stay right at the intersections and at St. George, left to the next road and then right.
