Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park & Regional History Museum – Start your Blennerhassett experience at the Blennerhassett Museum. The museum is located in downtown Parkersburg with three floors of intriguing archaeological and historical exhibits of the Blennerhassetts and the area, extensive gift shop and video explaining the Blennerhassett’s story. Hours: Open year-round, closed Mon | Admission: Adult $4, Child (3-12) $2; Child (Under 3) Free
Continue your exploration at Blennerhassett Island, the site of the alleged plot by Aaron Burr and Harman Blennerhassett to establish a southwest empire. The island features the reconstructed Blennerhassett Mansion, guided tours, concession stand, gift shop, narrated wagon rides, hiking trails and picnic facilities. Frequent special events include Mansion by Candlelight each October. Access to island via sternwheeler. (Due to construction at Point Park, debarkation to the Island in 2010-11 will be from Civitan Park in Belpre, Ohio.) Hours: Open May - Oct | Admission: Call for hours, days and ticket prices
