March MSF Safety Tip Recap

Being free and outside the shell of a four-wheeled vehicle is one of the best feelings that a rider can get, but Rider Insurance knows that it can be a bit more of a threat to your safety.

• At night, it helps to spot wild animals if your headlight is bright and aimed correctly.
• (SEE) Search - Evaluate - Execute. To Evaluate, plan how you're going to handle information or hazards gathered in the Search process.
• If you must shift in a turn, do it smoothly. A sudden change in power to the rear wheel can cause a skid.
• If you ride at night, you might add an auxiliary driving light wired into the high-beam circuit. Check local equipment laws.
