Rick’s Motorsport Electrics now offers new charging kits for the older 160/305/350/360 Honda’s.  The new kits are Rick’s original redesign: a single phase, full wave system.  They include a modern solid-state rectifier/regulator and a stator.  The kits will fit 1964-1967 CB160’s, 1959-67 CB/CL77’s, 1969-73 CB/CL350’s and 1974-76 CB/CL360’s.

These new kits from Rick’s Motorsport Electrics put out 25% more power than the stock system and will support a 55 watt headlight.   They will also supply constant power to the bike’s battery.  However, unlike the OE set-up, the bike will charge with or without the headlights being on because of the higher voltage produced by the new system.  There are complete instructions included for an easy installation.

“The OE pieces only use 1/3 of the power without lights turned on,” says company president Rick Shaw.  “Our kit uses all of the generator’s power with or without lights, and stores it in the battery.”

Part #’s 99-101, 99-102 & 99-104 retail for $225 and come with a one year warranty.  They are made in the USA and available immediately from Rick’s Motorsport Electrics and their distributors.

For more information on the charging kit and other products from Rick’s Motorsport, please visit their website at www.ricksmotorsportelectrics.com or call them at 1-800-521-0277.  In addition to street bikes and off road/ATVs, Rick’s also offers stators and starter motors for snowmobiles and watercraft.  Rick’s Motorsport will continue to deliver The Right Product, The Right Fit, The Right Price.
