Most people who are familiar with the Fly Brand know them from their roots in Motocross or BMX racing. Recently, Fly Racing has taken to the streets with a complete lineup of gear ranging from helmets to boots. Lately I have been commuting to work in their 8th Street Mesh Jacket, which is a sport cut mesh jacket with CE armor in the shoulders and elbows, a foam back pad, and 600 denier ballistic nylon over the impact areas. When it is hot outside, it can be tempting to leave the riding gear at home. Unfortunately hundreds of riders every year learn the hard way that that is just not a good idea.
