Products Partners National Cycle National Cycle’s F-16: A Sleek Shield for Naked Sportbikes

Finding an aftermarket windshield that looks good on a naked sportbike is no easy task.  A clunky screen will make your Monster look like a mongrel.   A mismatched shield will make your Bandit look like a bagel.  Okay, enough with the overblown similes.  Let’s just say that wind protection should not diminish the “cool” of your ride.

One of the best looking screen styles I have seen on a modern unfaired sportbike is made by National Cycle.  The model is the F-16 and it offers a clean, minimalist accent to the lines of most bikes.  Like most of the company’s F series, the F-16 features a direct mount system, which means the fairing mounts directly to the bike without any additional brackets, uprights or arm extensions.

The screen material is constructed of Lexan FMR, which is 35 times stronger than acrylic plastic. There are two versions available.  The F-16 Tour Shield is offered in a medium tint and the Sport version is available in a dark tint.  The touring shield is just over 13 inches high and the sport is about 10 inches high.

Take a look at the picture and you’ll see what I mean about the clean, integrated appearance of the F-16.  Both versions go for under $100.
