Adidas Elevation Climacool Glasses…or Goggles? Hot

If you ever ride in conventional glasses, you know that the wind turbulence that they create can be a real tear jerker…literally.  In fact, it can be a huge safety concern, especially if blowing dust or a bee makes its way behind the lens to your eye.

The Adidas Elevation Climacool glasses offer a really creative solution to this wind-swept dilemma. The Climacool’s interchangeable lightweight frame converts from goggles to conventional sunglass easily and effectively.  With the foam surround and elastic strap assembled, the glasses are a secure and functional pair of goggles.  With the foam removed and the conventional temple arms installed, they are an attractive pair of sun glasses.

The Climacool glasses are also designed with an effective dynamic venting system so they do not fog in the goggle mode. The nose bridge is a double snap style that is adjustable in two ways for a good fit in the conventional glasses mode.

Personally, I ride 99% of the time in a full face helmet. However, I see the Adidas Elevation Climacool glasses as a great option for open face helmet wearers and you renegade non-helmet wearers.  The glasses fill both of their intended functions with very little compromise.  They retail for around $240.
