Triumph Unveils Steve McQueen and Vintage Themed Apparel
Fans of Steve McQueen will be pleased with Triumph's Autumn/Winter line of casual and technical motorcycle wear. Triumph has always been a favorite for vintage clothing, and the 2010 line of Steve McQueen inspired gear carries on that tradition.
This year Triumph will put up three jackets. The Stockton, the Lexford, and the Richmond. The Stockton jacket is a retro style black leather jacket made from 1.2mm cowhide. The Stockton has ventalation panels, a removable thermal linings, and elbow and shoulder protectors.
The Lexford is another soft, supple, vintage leather jacket. The Lexford has enough protection to make you feel safe on the bike, but enough comfort and style to make you look good off the bike.
Triumph also has a textile jacket, the Richmond. It's a classic racer style jacket that is made of waterproof, abrasion resistant fabric. The Stockton and the Lexford both sell for $399.99. The Richmond is just $199.99.
Triumph will also be bringing out some casual wear this Winter, like the Legends Steve McQueen Series of t-shirts. Triumph will be adding one more shirt to the Legends series, which was inspired by the commemorative metal plate showing McQeen riding in the famous International Six Day Trials in 1964.
Two new vintage shirts also make into this year's lineup. The first, Castrol 68, pays homage to the famous Isle of Man TT races. The second, Breed Apart, was inspired by a 1972 Triumph T-shirt that read “A Breed Apart.”
